The most distinguished landmark of Reykjavik is the cultural heart of the city. This glass edifice is the main venue for international music concerts and is home to the Icelandic Symphony Orchestra, Icelandic Opera, and the Reykjavik Big Band.
Facilities include two restaurants, Smurstöðin and Kolabrautin and two gift shops, Epal Design Store and Upplifun. There is also a tourist information service. Harpa offers daily guided tours and exhibitions.
